A summer Wedding Ceremony at City Hall in Winnipeg
When Maddy and Dilan reached out to me to photograph their elopement, I was beyond thrilled because I have worked with them so many times before, and I couldn't be happier to capture this super special moment for them, surrounded by their friends and family.
Private Vows Before "I Do"
Maddy and Dilan chose to read their vows to each other minutes before the ceremony. With their family watching in the background, they were able to get those last-minute jitters and emotions out before they officially married. It was such a sweet moment to witness these two talk about their favourite things about each other and what they look forward to in the future.
Wandering around the Exchange
After they signed those official papers, we quickly got photos with their family, and then it was off to explore around the Exchange on this gorgeous August day. We didn't have to go far for some amazing photos. We did a little photo walk, so they could quickly get to their post-wedding family dinner. You would be surprised the amount of photos you can get in just an hour. Trust me. It was effortless, and we got to enjoy the sunny.
Part 2: The Party
First things first, I love backyard parties. They are SO FUN. 10/10. Please bring me along to all your festivities. They're laid-back and low-pressure. You're authentically yourself, and even better when you're surrounded by those closest to you. As your wedding photographer, I love being able to capture those intimate moments with your friends and family. I love seeing you laugh, cry, and enjoy everyone's company.
When you're planning your wedding or elopement, there are only a few things to consider. What moments are most important to you? Is it the ceremony, the family photos, or the portraits? Or are you leaving the creative direction to your photographer? For Maddy and Dilan, it was spending this exciting time with friends and family and having me (your photographer) capture you as you are.
Congratulations to Maddy and Dilan. 💖
